Lantern Village Association

LVA Recognized as 501(c)(3) by IRS

Since its inception in 1991, the LVA has been a nonprofit organization, but could not provide tax deductible status for donations.  After years of diligent work by our Treasurer, we are thrilled to report that the IRS has recognized the LVA as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization at the beginning of 2022.  This means that donations made to the LVA are tax deductible!

State of the City 2021

Its an exciting time to live in the Lantern Village!

Each year the City of Dana Point presents an economic perspective on the entire city, and our Lantern Village represents a major component of this perspective. Our area not only represents the geographical center of the city, but also the heart of where residential areas positively interact with small business commercial areas. We are excited that past investments from the city have laid the groundwork for a pedestrian friendly and successful small business atmosphere.

Please reach out to our group to get more involved and have your voice heard!

Our association has always worked closely with the city in a positive manner navigating the balance between growth and historical preservation. The Lantern Village board of directors has direct access to Council Members and executive city staff, and often includes Council Members themselves.
